If material was released into the air and they didn't clean the place well it could be in the carpets, cabinetry, false ceiling, and air ductworks or air conditioner. It's shouldn't be in the plumbing, or radiating from the walls, unless of course they still have a big stash hidden there but if the police were smart enough to use dogs they shouldn't have missed anything. Pull off any air vent covers and vacuum them out well and the vents too. Empty shelves and cupboards, (look for false panels), and scrub them out. Then at least you won't be worried about it.
