Aside from the fact that many of the creams that are available in the market nowadays are so expensive, the quality of these creams is questionable in spite of their outrageous claims. Here are some tips that you may find useful on how to make facial creams at home.

It is best to determine first your skin type so that you will know what products to purchase. There are different products that are available for normal skin and oily or combination skin types. You can use sunflower oil, olive oil or almond oil for the base, but for now, we are going to use grape seed oil which is very good for people who have sensitive skin or are prone to allergies.
These are the ingredients that you will need in making facial creams: 1 cup Grape Seed Oil , ¼ cup Virgin Coconut Oil, 1 tsp Lanolin, ½ oz. grated Beeswax, 2/3 cup Distilled Water, ½ cup Aloe Vera Gel or Juice, Vitamin E (10,000 IU), Vitamin A (150,000 IU), a few drops of essential oils and jars for storage. Make sure that these ingredients are at room temperature prior to making your facial creams.
In the top portion of the double boiler, mix the grape seed oil, coconut oil, lanolin and beeswax. Melt over low heat. After it has melted and cool to room temperature, you can now transfer it to a glass measuring cup. In a mixing bowl, add distilled water, aloe vera, vitamin E, vitamin A, and the essential oil and beat at the highest speed. Drip the melted oil and wax into the bowl while mixing. As the mixture start to thicken, slow your blenders and stop blending when it reaches the consistency that you prefer.
