Why Aren't You Using a Hand Lotion to Lighten Age Spots?
Let's face it. It can be difficult to find a hand lotion to lighten age spots. Most effective products are designed for use on the face. There are several reasons for this.
The most obvious is that women buy more of these products than men and women are usually most concerned about the appearance of their faces. Another reason is that protecting the hands from sunlight is difficult, unless a person wears gloves. What's the importance of protection from sunlight?
The spot is composed of skin cells containing melanin. Melanin is responsible for the skin's color. It is a natural defense mechanism. It protects the deepest of the skin's layers from UV rays of sunlight. It is primarily sunlight that triggers melanin production, although hormones sometimes play a role, as well.
We often forget to protect our hands from sun exposure. Even fair-skinned people rarely burn the backs of their hands, but they are the parts of our body that are most often exposed. Often, too, the skin on the hands looks older than on other parts of the body.
Instead of a specific hand lotion to lighten age spots, you should try to improve the overall health and appearance of your hands. This can be done with a good anti-aging moisturizer. Of course, most of the moisturizers on the market are just not that good. Face creams are usually higher quality. For some reason, most manufacturers choose mineral oil as the base for lotions to be used on the hands and body.
Mineral oil is not actually moisturizing. The oil is derived from crude oil, during the separation process that creates gasoline. Molecularly, it bears no resemblance to the oils produced by the skin's sebaceous glands. It is not readily absorbed and always leaves a slick greasy feeling.
A hand lotion to lighten age spots should contain lots of natural plant-based oils. Olive oil, jojoba and grape seed are excellent choices. These plant oils are very similar to those produced by the sebaceous glands. They penetrate deeply and quickly, without clogging the pores or leaving any greasy residue.
Shea butter is a good choice, as it is practically identical to the skin's own oils. But, the highest grades are only found in nighttime face creams. There are many products on the market that contain small amounts of low grade Shea butter. They are "okay" as moisturizers, but the highest grades have been shown to fade age spots, when used regularly over the course of four to six weeks.
So, you might end up using a nighttime face cream, instead of a hand lotion to lighten age spots. If you use it every night on your hands, face and neck, you will start to look younger, before you know it.
Try to stick with skincare products that are free of artificial preservatives and added fragrances. Like other additives, they are not beneficial and could cause allergic reactions.
So there you have it. Those are just some of the anti-aging alternatives to hand lotion to lighten age spots. There's always more to learn.

Neck Firming Cream-Discover The Secret Ingredients You Need To Look Younger
A neck firming cream must be uniquely designed and contain only the best ingredients. Many women have reported adverse reactions to firming neck cream. Most of the ingredients that the big cosmetic companies use are too harsh. They are known allergens and skin irritants. Here's how to avoid them.
Urea is one of the common ingredients that you will see in anti-aging, anti-wrinkle and neck firming cream. It is not particularly toxic, but it can be irritating. Its original use was to soften rough skin on the bottom of your feet. But, the soles are your feet are tougher; less sensitive to irritants than other parts of your body.
Read the label of ingredients on the firming neck cream you are about to buy and if it contains urea, be aware that it can cause irritation. In addition, read the warning labels and the directions thoroughly. Most of them will say to discontinue use if you experience redness or a rash. That means that the company knows the ingredients in the product are allergens and/or irritants.
You can get neck firming cream that works, without risking irritation. The most effective ingredient, with proven results, is a protein complex found in sheep's wool.
Skin cells are composed of protein, primarily keratin. Some manufacturers include collagen or elastin in their products. Those proteins are found in the elastic fibers, deep below the skin's surface. Over 90% of the skin cells that you "see" are made up of keratin.
Keratin is not an unusual ingredient to see in firming neck cream, but until recently, the only way to make it soluble was to use harsh chemicals or high temperatures which basically destroyed the protein. The skin's cells could not use it. A company in New Zealand found a way to soften keratin, without destroying it. They call their product "Functional Keratin".
Firming neck cream containing Functional Keratin has been shown in clinical trials to improve firmness and elasticity by over 40% in less than three weeks. You will notice that you skin fills softer, smoother and moister, right away. It will take a few days to see the "lifting effect".
If a neck firming cream is said to provide an instant lift, the effect will be purely cosmetic, not long-lasting. Your goal should be to improve your skin's health. Other than protein, the primary ingredients in firming neck cream should be antioxidants, plant oils and extracts.
Wakame kelp extract contributes to the performance of creams containing Functional Keratin, by increasing the amount of hyaluronic acid present in the skin. Hyaluronic acid is a gooey substance that holds the skin's cells together, making it look firm and tight.
There are anti-aging creams for the face and body that contain these ingredients, too. They are excellent moisturizers, far better than the mineral oil and petrolatum that most companies rely on. In fact they are four times more moisturizing than the best lotion on the market. Be good to your skin. Before you buy neck firming cream, read the label carefully.
