side effects are painful. redness, flaking and swelling lasts a lot longer than it says on the label, and a friend of mine had to use painkillers for the stinging.
afterwards her face looked a bit better, but nothing that a better diet, exfoliation and drinking lots of water wouldn't do. it might work for you, but prepare yourself for some nasty side effects
