This review takes a look at the M-2 Orion massage chair. The M-2 is the entry level massage chair produced by Omega Massage, Inc. Omega is one of the top massage chair brands and is know for their advanced technology and elegant chair designs. The Orion is a full body massage chair and is priced in the $1,500 and under category.

This ensures they will be able to honor the warranty if there should be an issue down the road. Let us first take a look at the warranty coverage for the Orion massage recliner. The M-2 has 1 year coverage for the frame and you also get 6 months on parts and labor. This is strong coverage for an entry level massage chair compared to others in the industry. Customer service is another important factor. The first thing you notice about the M-2 is its very sleek design. This chair looks more like an executive chair than a massage recliner. Omega made a very attractive design with the sweeping, padded armrests to the thin chair back. We like the silver trim on the side panels gives it a nice designer touch. We feel this chair can compliment any room.
The M-2 comes with both automatic and manual massage techniques. You can select from 3 automatic massages ranging in duration of 5, 10 or 15 minutes. These operate the chair and provide a full body massage. There are 3 manual massage techniques. The manual techniques are kneading, swaying and finger press or rolling. You can also choose from 3 different back courses. These target the full back, the lower back or the upper back. The remote is slim and fits in a slot underneath the armrest.
The recline on this lounger is from 115 to 170 degrees. The 170 degree recline helps to take the weight off your back and better distribute it for a more relaxing massage. The M-2 has 23 inches of travel for the roller mechanism for the back massage. We like that the chair back is relatively thin and the upholstery covers the back rather than have a hard plastic shell. The chair back and the leg rest operate with manual pistons rather than are motorized. This nice thing with the manual pistons are they bring either the chair back or the leg rest up by themselves.
The seat has two types of massages built into it. There are eight rotary massage heads in the seat to provide a soothing massage to the buttocks and thighs. The massage level can be set to 3 different levels for your comfort. Additionally, there is a vibration massage in the seat as well. The vibration can be set to 3 levels of intensity to stimulate the capillary vessels enhancing blood flow.
The leg rest is extendable. You can extend it out an additional four inches. This is great to position it exactly where you want on your calf or feet. The leg rest has a mechanical massage system built in to provide a very thorough and invigorating massage for the calves. The massage intensity or speed can be adjusted to 3 different levels. The leg rest can also be adjusted in a 90 degree range and will come up to the full horizontal position. The leg rest works with a manual lever. The piston will push the leg rest up, but the user must use their legs to push it back down when you are done.
We find that the M-2 recliner is an outstanding value in the entry level massage chair range. This is a full body massage chair and has some outstanding features. We particularly like the sway massage function to loosen up tight back muscles. There is also a negative ion function which helps to remove stale oxygen away from the body to provide a more refreshing massage.
