Does 100 percent heavy duty cotton shrink?

I'm getting a hoodie that is 100% heavy duty cotton, will it shrink? I ordered it a size bigger just in case it does, but if its too big will it shrink in the wash/dryer. Thanks.

Yes it should shrink, but if it is of good quality it should not shrink more than 5%. Max for a mans Large would be around 2" in the length and 1" in the width. No more!
